Terms of Use
Last Updated on October 17, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Baker's Bookkeeping & Tax Services website. By visiting or using this site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Our website explains the bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and advisory services we offer to independent medical and healthcare practices, as well as to families and individuals across the country. These terms apply to the website only. The services we provide to clients are governed by a separate written engagement agreement.
1. Acceptable Use
You may use this website to learn about our firm and our services and to get in touch with us. You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with anyone else's use of it. You also agree not to do any of the following.
- Submit false information or pretend to be another person or business
- Upload or send viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
- Try to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or any connected systems
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to copy or collect content from the site
- Send spam, harassing messages, or unlawful material through the site or to our team
2. General Information, Not Professional Advice
The articles, service descriptions, and other content on this website are for general informational purposes only. They are not tax, accounting, legal, or financial advice for your specific situation. Tax laws change often, and the right approach for your practice or household depends on facts we can only learn by working with you directly.
Some pages discuss topics that involve healthcare regulation, such as how providers and clinicians are paid or how a med spa may be split into more than one entity. Nothing on this site is legal or healthcare compliance advice. Our Provider Pay Calculations and Clinician Pay services apply the compensation agreements your practice already has in place. We do not design compensation plans or advise on how providers should be paid, because those arrangements are subject to Stark Law and other medical compliance rules. Please consult a qualified healthcare attorney on those questions.
3. No Client Relationship Through This Website
Visiting this website, reading our content, or contacting us does not make you a client of Baker's Bookkeeping & Tax Services. A client relationship begins only after a written engagement agreement has been signed. That agreement sets out the services we will provide, the fees, and the responsibilities of each party. If anything in these terms conflicts with your engagement agreement, the engagement agreement controls.
4. Our Professional Credentials
Baker's Bookkeeping & Tax Services is a bookkeeping and tax practice, not a CPA firm. Our founder, Melissa Baker, holds a CPA license personally, but the firm does not provide services that are reserved for licensed CPA firms. Tax return preparation and responses to IRS or state notices are handled by enrolled agents, who are federally licensed to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
Licenses, certifications, and professional memberships mentioned on this site belong to the individual team members named with them. They should not be read as describing the firm as a whole.
5. Protecting Sensitive Information
Please do not send sensitive information through this website or by regular email. This includes Social Security numbers, tax documents, bank or credit card account numbers, payroll records, and any patient health information. Our website is not designed to receive this kind of information, and we cannot guarantee the security of anything sent through general contact channels.
Once you become a client, we will provide a secure way to share documents with us. To learn how we collect and use personal information submitted through this site, please review our Privacy Policy.
6. Pricing and Service Descriptions
Prices shown on this website are general ranges meant to help you plan. Your actual fees depend on factors such as the size of your practice, the number of employees or entities, how current your books are, and the services you choose. Final pricing is set in your engagement agreement.
The same applies to any guarantee described on this site, including the replacement guarantee offered with our Hiring & HR Support service. The full terms of any guarantee are set out in your written agreement with us. We may change our services and published prices at any time, but those changes do not affect an engagement agreement already in place.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and the overall design, belongs to Baker's Bookkeeping & Tax Services or is used with permission. It is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, noncommercial use. You may not copy, republish, distribute, or create new works from our content without our written permission.
8. Third-Party Links and Software
Our website may link to outside websites and tools, such as QuickBooks Online and Gusto, the platforms we use for bookkeeping and payroll, or government resources like the IRS website. We provide these links for your convenience. We do not own or control these sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Your use of any third-party site or software is governed by that provider's own terms and policies, which we encourage you to review.

We work to keep the information here accurate and current, but we do not promise that it is complete, error-free, or up to date at all times. We also do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption or free of viruses or other harmful components.
Client reviews, testimonials, and recognitions such as our Best of Lenexa awards reflect past experiences and the views of the people who shared them. They do not guarantee a particular outcome, amount of tax savings, or result for your practice or household.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Baker's Bookkeeping & Tax Services and its owners, employees, and team members will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this website or your reliance on any information on it. This includes tax, financial, or business decisions made based on website content without a signed engagement agreement in place. If you are dissatisfied with the site, your sole remedy is to stop using it.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Although we serve clients nationwide, any dispute arising from your use of this website will be resolved in the state courts of Johnson County, Kansas, or the federal courts for the District of Kansas.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, our business, or the law. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the Last Updated date at the top. Your continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
